My professional life has been split between two of my passions, Aeronautics/Space and the stock market. A biography of my aerospace career can be found at http://www.thespaceshow.com/detail.asp?q=460 plus you can hear a 1 1/2 hour radio interview of me.
I had a rewarding career with NASA. I helped put the first US astronauts into space and on the moon. I appeared on NBC’s Today Show, interviewed following the launch of the Skylab manned space station. My mission-planning career taught me the power of the computer for problem solving. In the back of my mind, I always thought what I could do in the stock market if I had access to a powerful computer. That later arrived in 1974 when I built my first personal computer the Intel 8008 powered Mark 8 from scratch. In 1976 I moved up to a Z-80 computer. With that I was able to do some promising technical analysis.
I had several articles published in Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities. In 1992 I started a monthly investment advisory newsletter, Rocket Science Investing. I was written up in the June 1993 issue of Barons. I stopped RSI 1995. I got my broker’s license Series 7 and 65 in 1999 and became an advisor with a financial planning organization. After retirement I continued to be an active investor and hone my techniques. I am a frequent presenter at the local AAII chapter. I started this blog at the urging of friends wanting me to share my work with others.
