Stocks Down Again – RSI Picks a Pair

Today in the market, Wednesday June 18, 2008:  Stocks had another day of price slide.  The major averages ended the day with a 1% decline.  The impact of higher energy prices weigh on the market.  When will it end?  Who knows if ever energy prices abate?

RSI’s Themes: Only two stock picks today one in the consumer staples and one in the industrial sector.  Not much of a theme but the picks look for a down day. No falling knife candidates today.

Stocks Medium Volatility:

  • CHD – Church & Dwight Co, Inc.
  • CVA – Covanta Holding Corp.

Stock Picks New to RSI:

  • Church & Dwight Co., Inc., together with its subsidiaries, develops, manufactures, and markets a range of household, personal care, and specialty products under various brand names in the United States and internationally.

In spite of the selloff, the Way Ahead Portfolio was up 0.07% today.  I know it is a tiny amount, but it wasn’t a loss.
